The Indian Premier League offers a plethora of opportunities to the young players. The Indian domestic T20 tournament is a great platform for both Indian as well as foreign players to showcase their skills.

However not every player gets his chance because of the team combination. As only four foreign players can be included in the playing XI of a particular team, there are many overseas players who remain as tourists in India.

The 11th season of the Indian Premier League has completed more than half of its matches and there are some players who are yet to receive their maiden opportunity.

Let’s take a look at Five players who are yet to receive their chances or have received minimum chances.

5. Sandeep Lamichhane

Sandeep Lamichhane had become the first Nepal cricketer to be picked in the IPL. However, the youngster is yet to get his chance for the Delhi Daredevils.

The Delhi team has once again found itself in the troubled waters. Thus, there is a less probability that Sandeep will get a chance to showcase his skills.

4. Adam Milne

Adam Milne was the replacement for injured Pat Cummins by defending champions Mumbai Indians. The New Zealand fast bowler is yet to receive his chance for the Men in Blue.

However, Milne had represented Royal Challengers Bangalore in the previous season of the IPL. Mumbai already has foreign fast bowlers like Micthell McClenaghan and Mustafizur Rahman. Consequently, Milne is still warming the benches for Mumbai.

3. Carlos Brathwaite

These players are unlikely to get many chances.

Carlos Brathwaite hasn’t yet played a match for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the ongoing season. The Windies T20 skipper had shown great improvement in his bowling skills in the Big Bash League.

However, the all-rounder has failed to make the potent Sunrisers Hyderabad line-up. Once again, it is the team composition which has kept Carlos on the benches.

2. Moeen Ali

Moeen Ali hasn’t yet played for RCB.

English player Moeen Ali is yet to make his Indian Premier League debut. The England all-rounder was roped in by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the auctions.

However, the all-rounder has failed to make the cut into star-studded RCB’s team. Bangalore is struggling with their bowling unit and Ali can be given a chance in the coming matches.

1. David Willey

David Willey was drafted in by Chennai Super Kings in place of injured Kedar Jadhav. The England all-rounder has thus far played only one match for the two times champions.

With foreign bowlers like Lungi Ngidi and Dwayne Bravo in CSK’s squad, Willey will get limited opportunities.
