Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed came under the scan for his fitness and intensity during the ICC World Cup 2019 in England. The cricketer has now admitted he has lost the extra fat in his body; however, the weight remains the same.

The Men in Greens had an extremely dismal run in the tournament failing to make it to the top four. They had been the most inconsistent teams as they defeated England and lost to not so tough teams. However, they secured some wins in the last few matches to finish with the same points as of New Zealand but finished fifth due to poor net run rate.

But the barrier broke when Sarfaraz Ahmed was seen yawning during an intense game against arch-rivals India. Some fans also revealed pictures where Sarfaraz was buying some junk foods and burgers. But the Pakistan skipper looked more fit in the recently concluded series against Sri Lanka and admitted he has let go of his fat.

“I haven’t reduced weight, I have reduced my fat levels. The weight is the same,” said Sarfaraz Ahmed told to Pak Passion.

Meanwhile, Sarfaraz managed to retain his captaincy under the tenure of the new head coach and chief selector Misbah ul Haq. And Pakistan also delivered much-improved effort winning the series 2-0 after a whitewash in the first game. But Sarfaraz Ahmed had a poor outing with the bat which has raised doubts over his place in the playing XI again.

Pakistan will look to keep their winning run going when they face the Islanders in the upcoming three-match Twenty20 Internationals.
