Mohammad Nabi led Afghanistan in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Under his leadership, Afghanistan registered wins against Scotland and Namibia but lost to India, New Zealand and Pakistan. M Nabi made useful contributions with both bat and ball.

He played notable cameos while coming lower down the order and bowled the majority of his overs in the middle phase of the innings. Nabi was the second-highest run-scorer for the team in the tournament, having managed to score 127 runs in 5 matches at a strike rate of 127. He picked only 1 wicket and but gave away runs at only 8 an over.

At number five is Liam Livingstone, who was used more with the ball than with the bat. Liam Livingstone came into the tournament with a reputation of being one of the best ball strikers in the team. However, Livingstone was mostly used with the ball and was given fewer opportunities with the bat.

His ability to bowl both off-spin and the leg-spin helped him a lot in the tournament. He picked 6 wickets in as many matches at a stellar economy of less than 6. Besides, he managed to score 46 runs in 6 innings at an outstanding strike rate of 158 in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021.
