NZ vs AFG: Match Preview– ICC T20 World Cup 2021 Match 40. New Zealand and Afghanistan will face each other in their next clash of ICC T20 World Cup 2021. The match will take place on November 7 at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Both the teams are part of group 2 in the tournament.

New Zealand are part of group 2 in ICC T20 World Cup 2021. Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, Namibia, and Scotland are other teams part of the group. New Zealand will qualify for semi-finals if they defeat Afghanistan. In their previous game, New Zealand defeated Namibia by 55 runs.

Batting first, New Zealand scored 163-4 with Glenn Phillips’ 39 and Kames Neesham’s 35. Later, Namibia’s openers Michael van Lingen and Stephen Baard scored 25 and 21. However, they reached 111-7 in 20 overs and lost the match by 55 runs.

Afghanistan are also part of group 2 in the tournament. They have a chance to qualify for semis if they manage to defeat New Zealand in the next game. In their last match, Afghanistan lost to India by 66 runs.

Batting first in the match, India posted a mammoth 210-2 on the scoreboard. Rohit Sharma hit 74 while KL Rahul slammed 69 runs. For Afghanistan, Mohammad Nabi hit 35 while Karim Janat scored 42 runs. In the end, Afghanistan managed to score 144-7 on the scoreboard and lost the match by 66 runs.
