In the semi-finals, New Zealand defeated England by 5 wickets. Batting first, England piled up 166-4 on the scoreboard. Opener Jos Buttler and Jonny Bairstow could only score 29 and 13. Later, Dawid Malan scored 41 runs while Moeen Ali slammed a quickfire 51.

New Zealand lost their opener Martin Guptill cheaply for 4 runs. Later, Daryl Mitchell slammed unbeaten 72 runs while Devon Convoy hit 46 runs. James Neesham also smacked a crucial quickfire knock of 27 runs. In the end, New Zealand reached the target in 19 overs and won the match by 5 wickets.

Australia defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets in the semi-finals. Batting first, Pakistan opener Mohammad Rizwan scored most 67 runs. Fakhar Zaman also slammed a crucial knock of unbeaten 55 runs. Pakistan managed to get a good total to defend on the board.

Australia lost their opener Aaron Finch for a duck but David Warner slammed a 49-run knock. Later, Marcus Stoinis scored unbeaten 40 while Matthew Wade hit unbeaten 41 runs. With their 81-run partnership, Australia managed to win the match by 5 wickets in the end.
