Pakistan will square up against Scotland in the 41st match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 on Sunday at Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Both teams will be playing their last match in the Super 12 stage. Pakistan are currently sitting at the top of the table in Group 2. They have won all five games played in the tournament thus far and would be keen to continue the winning momentum.

Babar Azam and Co. are coming into this game on the back of a 45-run win over Namibia. Openers, Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam yet again put together a sensational opening stand. Rizwan (79 off 50) and Babar Azam (70 off 49) added 113 runs for the opening wicket.

Later, M Hafeez also played an unbeaten 16-ball 32 to help Pakistan post a gigantic 189-run total in the first innings. In reply, Namibia could only manage to score 144 runs in the second innings.

It was a collective bowling effort from the bowlers which helped Pakistan register its fourth consecutive win in the tournament. The likes of Hasan Ali, Imad Wasim, Haris Rauf, and Shadab Khan all picked one wicket each.

Scotland, on the other hand, are languishing at the bottom of the table. They failed to win a single game in the Super 12 stage of the tournament. Scotland played their last game against India.

After being asked to bat first, Scotland succumbed to a brilliant bowling display from the Indian bowlers. Scotland were bowled out for just 85 runs in the first innings. George Munsey top-scored for them, scoring 24 off 19 balls.

It took only 6.3 overs for India to chase down the score. KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma tore apart Scotland’s bowling unit with brutal hitting display. Scotland will be playing their final game of the tournament on Sunday. They should look to play freely without putting any pressure on them.
