Naturally, the Proteas have a strong bowling attack with the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, Wayne Parnell, and Marco Jansen steaming in and clocking 140kmph. However, it is South Africa’s batting that looks solid. With Rilee Rossouw, Aiden Markram, and David Miller in the middle order, it is one of the most fearsome. All three batters have struck at a strike rate of 160 plus in T20Is in 2022. Add Tristian Stubbs to the mix and South Africa’s middle order looks threatening.

India bowlers have so far bowled well, but to stop such a quality batting line-up they will need to be at their very best. Arshdeep Singh (3/32 against Pakistan and 2/37 against the Netherlands), Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1/22 against Pakistan and 2/9 against Netherlands), Mohammed Shami (1/25 against Pakistan and 1/27 against the Netherlands), Hardik Pandya (3/30 against Pakistan), Axar Patel(2/18 against Netherlands) and Ravichandran Ashwin (2/21 against the Netherlands) have bowled well so far. They will hope to continue with the same momentum against Proteas too.

India defeated the Netherlands by 56 runs to register their second consecutive win in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Electing to bat, India scored 179 for 2 and then restricted Netherlands to 123 for 9. India produced a solid batting display with Rohit Sharma (53), Virat Kohli (62 not out), and Suryakumar Yadav (51 not out) – all scoring scintillating fifties.

Defending, pacers Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2/9) and Arshdeep Singh (2/37) and the spin duo of Axar Patel (2/18) and Ravichandran Ashwin (2/21) shone bright with the ball for India. India’s five specialist bowlers shared the wickets, with Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Axar Patel, and Ravichandran Ashwin picking up two apiece, and Mohammed Shami one.

India 179 for 2 (Kohli 62*, Rohit 53, Suryakumar 51*) beat Netherlands 123 for 9 (Bhuvneshwar 2-9, Axar 2-18) by 56 runs

Rilee Rossouw struck the first century of this ICC T20 World Cup 2022 to give South Africa a dominating 104-run win against Bangladesh at the Sydney Cricket Ground. His big-hitting 109 helped his side to the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 edition’s highest total, with he and Quinton de Kock adding 163 for the second wicket, the second-highest partnership in the tournament’s history.

Bangladesh started the 206-run chase promisingly but after South Africa pacer Anrich Nortje’s three-wicket burst, the batters fell apart against the South African spinners. Anrich Nortje finished with his best T20I figures of 4-10, while Tabraiz Shamsi took three wickets. Getting bowled out for 101, it is now Bangladesh’s biggest defeat in this format.

South Africa 205 for 5 (Rossouw 109, de Kock 63, Shakib 2-33) beat Bangladesh 101 (Litton 34, Nortje 4-10, Shamsi 3-20) by 104 runs

Team India posted their first win of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 on board thanks to the brilliance of former captain Virat Kohli and all-rounder Hardik Pandya. However, the win was not without its hiccups along the way against arch-rivals Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Sunday (October 23).

Hardik Pandya was impressive with the ball as well against Pakistan, picking up three important wickets and scoring 40 runs with the bat, putting on a record 113 runs for the fifth wicket with Virat Kohli who scored 82*.

Virat Kohli single-handedly powered India to an epic four-wicket win over arch-rivals Pakistan with a magnificent 53-ball 82 not out in their big-ticket ICC T20 World Cup 2022 game. Pakistan recovered from a wobbly start to post a fighting 159 for eight. India completed the chase in the last ball, with Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya (40) doing the bulk of the scoring after a horror start to their innings.

The two revived India with a 113-run stand for the fourth wicket after they were reeling at 31/4 at one stage. Sent in to bat, Pakistan were well served by Iftikhar Ahmed’s 34-ball 51 and Shan Masood’s unbeaten 52 off 42 balls after they lost their first two wickets with just 15 runs on the board in the fourth over. Arshdeep Singh picked both openers in form Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan.

India 160 for 6 (Kohli 82*, Hardik 40) beat Pakistan 159 for 8 (Masood 52*, Iftikhar 51, Arshdeep 3-32, Hardik 3-30) by four wickets

India Predicted Playing XI: KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Dinesh Karthik, Axar Patel, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Shami, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh
