ICC T20 World Cup 2022, IND vs SA: South Africa Playing XI vs India (Predicted). India will take on South Africa in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 on Sunday (October 30) at 4:30 PM IST. This is a vital match for both teams as the winner in all likelihood will top Group B.
India have won two games against Pakistan and Netherlands, while South Africa have beaten Bangladesh and have one point from their abandoned game against Zimbabwe. The ICC T20 World Cup 2022 match is going to be played in Perth. It is the fastest surface in Australia.

Naturally, the Proteas have a strong bowling attack with the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Lungi Ngidi, Wayne Parnell, and Marco Jansen steaming in and clocking 140kmph. However, it is South Africa’s batting that looks solid. With Rilee Rossouw, Aiden Markram, and David Miller in the middle order, it is one of the most fearsome. All three batters have struck at a strike rate of 160 plus in T20Is in 2022. Add Tristian Stubbs to the mix and South Africa’s middle order looks threatening.

Rilee Rossouw struck the first century of this ICC T20 World Cup 2022 to give South Africa a dominating 104-run win against Bangladesh at the Sydney Cricket Ground. His big-hitting 109 helped his side to the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 edition’s highest total, with he and Quinton de Kock adding 163 for the second wicket, the second-highest partnership in the tournament’s history.

Bangladesh started the 206-run chase promisingly but after South Africa pacer Anrich Nortje’s three-wicket burst, the batters fell apart against the South African spinners. Anrich Nortje finished with his best T20I figures of 4-10, while Tabraiz Shamsi took three wickets. Getting bowled out for 101, it is now Bangladesh’s biggest defeat in this format.
South Africa 205 for 5 (Rossouw 109, de Kock 63, Shakib 2-33) beat Bangladesh 101 (Litton 34, Nortje 4-10, Shamsi 3-20) by 104 runs
South Africa were ahead of the five-over DLS par for no wickets lost but had only faced three overs when rain ended the game against Zimbabwe. South Africa were denied a victory in their ICC T20 World Cup 2022 opener after rain ensured their shortened fixture against Zimbabwe could not be completed. After a two-hour-and-35-minute delay, the match was reduced to nine overs a side.

Zimbabwe recovered from being 19 for 4 to set South Africa a target of 80, which was then cut down to a target of 64 in seven overs after another weather interruption. South Africa were well ahead of their five-over DLS par score when the players went off for rain again, but they had only faced three overs at that point – a T20 match is only completed when both teams have faced at least five overs.
No result Zimbabwe 79 for 5 in 9 overs (Madhevere 35*, Ngidi 2-20) vs South Africa 51 for 0 in 3 overs (de Kock 47*)
ICC T20 World Cup 2022, IND vs SA: South Africa Playing XI vs India (Predicted)
Quinton de Kock
Quinton de Kock was the highest run-getter in the India T20I series with 138 runs averaging 69 in 3 T20Is. Prior to that, he had a horrific Ireland and England away series where he averaged less than 10. He also had a poor ICC T20 World Cup 2021 managing only 69 runs at an average of 17.25.
He didn’t play the warm-up game against New Zealand. He scored an unbeaten 47 off only 18 balls in the rain-abandoned game against Zimbabwe while scoring another fifty -63 off 38 balls against Bangladesh in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 game.
Temba Bavuma
South African captain Temba Bavuma got injured during the Proteas’ last India tour in June 2022 managing just 61 runs in 4 T20Is averaging 20.33. He retired hurt after scoring 8* in the 4th T20I and didn’t play subsequent England and Ireland T20Is.
In the September -October tour again against India, he managed only 3 runs in as many T20Is after being dismissed without scoring in the first two matches. He didn’t play the warm-up game against New Zealand but has been named in the playing XI against Zimbabwe. He scored 2* and 2 against Zimbabwe and Bangladesh in ICC T20 World Cup 2022 respectively but will try his best to return to form.
Rilee Rossouw

Rilee Rossouw, the South Africa (SA) batter scored an unbeaten 54 in the warm-up game against New Zealand off 32 balls which included 9 fours and 1 six.
The left-handed South African batter hammered his maiden T20I hundred in the third T20I of the series between India and South Africa at the Holkar stadium in Indore on October 4, 2022. He top-scored with 109 off 56 balls in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 against Bangladesh-the first ton of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 season. He has scored tons in successive innings.
It has been a remarkable return to international cricket for Rilee Rossouw. After six years away, during which he took up a Kolpak deal in county cricket that did not go down well with CSA, he has now compiled back-to-back T20I centuries, alongside an unbeaten 96, in just seven innings. His numbers for the year are eye-watering: 340 runs at 68 with a strike rate of 184.78. In a way, those figures are made more extraordinary given he made two ducks against India.
Aiden Markram
Aiden Markram is a right-handed batsman and right-arm off-break bowler from South Africa (SA). Aiden Markram scored 25 in the 1st T20I and helped his team recover from 9/5. He didn’t bat in the 3rd while scoring 33 in the 2nd T20I. In the previous 2021 T20I World Cup, he amassed 162 runs averaging 54. He scored an unbeaten 16 in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 warm-up game against New Zealand. He scored only 10 against Bangladesh in ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
David Miller
There will be high hopes from David Miller following his exploits for the Gujarat Titans (GT) in IPL 2022. The attacking left-hander displayed a different kind of maturity, smashing 481 runs in 16 matches at a strike rate of 142.73. He managed 96 runs averaging 48 in 5 T20Is in June 2022 against India.
David Miller scored an unbeaten 106 in the 2nd T20I which went in vain after being dismissed without scoring in the opening T20I. He scored an unbeaten 19 off 5 balls including 3 sixes in the 3rd T20I, at a strike rate of 380.
He was the 2nd highest scorer in the preceding T20I series, amassing 125 runs at a stunning strike rate of 235.85. He captained Proteas- South Africa (SA) in the warm-up game against New Zealand but wasn’t required to bat. He scored 2* against Bangladesh in ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
Tristan Stubbs

Tristan Stubbs has played only 9 T20Is for SA but has shown promise. He wasn’t required to bat in the warm-up game against New Zealand but has been named in the playing XI against Zimbabwe. He scored 72 in his first T20I innings against England off only 28 balls at a strike rate of 257.14.
He failed to do well against Ireland and India after averaging 47.5 in the 3-match T20I series against England. The 21-year-old Tristan Stubbs was roped in by Mumbai Indians (MI) as a replacement for injured Tymal Mills for the IPL 2022. He scored 7 against Bangladesh in ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
Wayne Parnell
Wayne Parnell, the 33-year-old left-arm quick made a comeback to South Africa (SA) T20I squad after a gap of 5 years. He is the first former Kolpak player to be recalled for the national team since the system ceased to exist.
Wayne Parnell picked 2 scalps in the June 2022 India series playing 3 T20Is and 7 scalps in 2 T20Is against Ireland. He returned with figures of 4-0-14-0 against India in the 1st T20I besides scoring useful 24 runs.
His figures read 0/54 in the 2nd T20I and 2/41 in the 3rd T20I. Overall, he picked 2 scalps in 3 T20Is averaging 54.5. He was wicketless against Bangladesh in ICC T20 World Cup 2022 and 1/6 in 2 overs against Zimbabwe.
Keshav Maharaj
Keshav Maharaj scored 41 in the first T20I in the preceding T20I series against India and picked 2/23 and 2/34 in the next two T20Is after getting hammered in the 1st T20I (0/21 in 3 overs).
On a night when the rest of South Africa’s attack combined to concede 210 off 96 wicketless balls, and on a pitch where 458 runs came in 40 overs, Keshav Maharaj bowled 24 balls, gave away 23 runs, and took two wickets. I1ndia scored 237/3 in the 2nd T20I before South Africa (SA) scored 221/3, falling short by 16 runs. He picked 1/24 against Bangladesh in ICC T20 World Cup 2022 and 0/10 in 1 overs against Zimbabwe.
Lungi Ngidi

Lungi Ngidi, the South Africa (SA) pacer picked 2 scalps in as many T20Is in the T20I series against India. He averages less than 20 in T20Is but didn’t feature in the 2021 T20I World Cup. His career best of 5/39 came against England in a July 2022 T20I. He didn’t play against Bangladesh but may play against India. He picked 2/20 against Zimbabwe in the abandoned game.
Another option is seam-bowling allrounder Andile Phehlukwayo who made himself a part of South Africa’s white-ball sides with his skill at the death, the ability to disguise his slower ball, and the ability to contribute with the bat as a finisher. Spinner Tabraiz Shamsi played against Bangladesh and picked 3/20 in 4 overs.
Kagiso Rabada
Kagiso Rabada will be South Africa’s pace spearhead in the upcoming series against India. He had a memorable IPL 2022 campaign for the Punjab Kings (PBKS). He was the third-leading wicket-taker in the tournament with 23 wickets in 13 games at a strike rate of 12.52.
He was predicted to be key to the Proteas-SA’s fortunes in the T20I series but picked only 2 scalps and went for plenty (0/57) in the 2nd T20I but was economical in the other two matches (1/16 in 1st T20I and 1/24 in 3rd T20I). He picked 1/24 in 3 overs against Bangladesh in ICC T20 World Cup 2022 and 0/20 against Zimbabwe in 2 overs in ICC T20 World Cup 2022.
Anrich Nortje

Following a long injury layoff, the SA pacer Anrich Nortje returned to competitive cricket, representing the franchise Delhi Capitals (DC) during IPL 2022. He claimed nine wickets in six matches and had begun to find his groove towards the latter half of the group stage.
Anrich Nortje had taken 4 scalps in 5 games averaging 29 in the June 2022 India tour and 1/12 in the only T20I he featured in England tour. He took the prized scalp of Virat Kohli but conceded 32 runs in 3 overs in the 1st T20I against India.
He was expensive in the 2nd T20I, as in only 3 overs, he conceded 41 runs at an economy of 13.7. He had an excellent 2021 T20I World Cup, where he took 9 scalps in 5 T20Is averaging 11.56. He picked 4/10 in 3.3 overs against Bangladesh in ICC T20 World Cup 2022 and 1/10 in 2 overs against Zimbabwe in the rain-abandoned game.
