England Cricket Team’s pinch hitter Liam Livingstone is all set to take part in ICC T20 World Cup 2022. The right-handed batter had missed the Pakistan tour due to an injury and is still not 100% fit in the ongoing T20I Series against Australia. The all-rounder has got the immense striking ability and has played Big Bash League too.

England Cricket Team would be thrilled to see the return of Livingstone. There is one peculiarity of Livingstone that he can change his spinning deliveries according to the left & right-handed batters. It won’t be wrong to say that he is the Trump Card of England in a marquee tournament.

Liam Livingstone On Comeback

Liam Livingstone was quite optimistic about making a return to England Setup. “In my head, I’m aiming for the warm-up game against Pakistan. [My ankle] is improving really quickly. It’s got much better quicker than I thought it was going to,” said Livingstone.

“We’re at the exciting part of the rehab, we’re getting close and can see light at the end of the tunnel. I’m excited to be back out there. I feel like I’m that kid again in the back garden wanting to play cricket every minute of the day,”  he added.

He was asked about the injury and break. It wasn’t ideal, but I’m a big believer in everything happening for a reason and maybe I just needed a break. I’d pretty much played three years of solid cricket so it’s been nice to spend a bit of time at home,”  said the dashing all-rounder

“Something I’ve always found difficult is when the right time is to have that break. We’ve got short careers, you want to go around the world expressing your talent, you want to go and play in different tournaments,”  he added.

Liam Livingstone An Invaluable Player

The likes of Moeen Ali & Chris Woakes would be happy as now they can take a back seat and enjoy some monstrous hitting. England missed that spark in the back end of the innings where they were falling short by 15-20 runs. The management would be pumped up as now they have got their entire team together.

England would be aware of the Semi Final loss in the 2021 T20 World Cup against New Zealand; they had a pretty good tournament but couldn’t continue the winning moment. It would be interesting to see how the team uses Livingstone as sending him at the No.3 position can be exciting.
