Bangladesh Cricket Team suffered a heart-wrenching defeat against India. The Bangladeshi Tigers lost the match by 5 runs and missed a golden opportunity of beating India. Bangladesh had a pretty good power play where they scored 60 runs where they were unscathed.

India on the other hand didn’t panic as Bangladesh required 85 runs in 9 overs due to the rain. The Men in Blue showed great fighting spirit and the bowlers bowled impeccable lines and lengths. Arshdeep Singh was the stand-out bowler where he took a crucial wicket of Shakib Al Hasan.

Mashrafe Mortaza on Litton Das and Bangladesh

Mashrafe Mortaza made some interesting comments after Bangladesh’s defeat. “We needed 85 runs in nine overs with 10 wickets in hand, probably it was our rushed approach that cost us the match.” said Mortaza.

“Poor Liton! His innings didn’t get the recognition it deserved. It’s not just the strike-rate, he was the best batter combining both innings together.” he added.

Same Old Story For Bangladesh

As mentioned by Mortaza, the batters should have stick to the crease for a bit longer. The skipper Shakib Al Hasan should have played a captain’s knock rather than being aggressive. This loss would  hurt Bangladesh a lot as they were in a commanding position.

India would be relieved as Bangladesh almost pulled off a heist. The Men in Blue would be worried as the bowlers bowled a lot of freebies in the power-play overs. Giving away 60 runs in the power-play overs is a bit too much and it looked as if Litton Das was toying with the bowlers.
