The ICC T20 World Cup 2022 has reached the semi-final stage, and India will take on England in the second semi-final at the Adelaide Oval on Thursday, November 10. The two teams are facing each other after 10 years in the World Cup, and there is a lot of excitement about the match.

The Rohit Sharma-led team performed well in the league stage, finishing as the table-toppers in their group. The Men in Blue started their campaign with a convincing 5-wicket victory over Pakistan, and barring South Africa, they beat everyone in their group.

The Most Important Part Will Be The Fielding Plans – Misbah Ul Haq

Suryakumar Yadav has been in excellent form in this World Cup, scoring freely against every opponent he has faced. Former Pakistan cricketer Misbah ul Haq believes fielding placements will be crucial against Surya.

“I think he is utilizing the pace very well. So early on, especially if Wood is bowling, ensure that he does not have much width to play the delivery. That is one area early on where he can be caught behind,” Misbah said.

“I think the most important part will be the fielding plans. The fielders in fine leg and square leg are very important. You have to keep the fine leg fielder finer. Even the square-leg fielder should be kept inside. So that he can’t utilize the pace and play shots behind the wicket. You have to keep him away from his strengths,” he added.

Since making his debut in March 2021, the 32-year-old has played 39 matches and scored 1270 runs at an average of 42.23. Suryakumar Yadav has been in outstanding form in the marquee event. The right-handed batsman is third on the list of the leading run scorers in the tournament, just behind Virat Kohli and Max O’Dowd. He has scored 225 runs from five innings with an average of 75 and an incredible strike rate of 193.96, including three half-centuries.
