IND vs SA: Watch - Lungi Ngidi Gets Rid Off Dangerous Virat Kohli Against India

Indian Cricket Team had won the toss and opted to field at the Perth Stadium. The Men in Blue made one change to their line up Deepak Hooda came in the place of Axar Patel. South Africa, on the other hand, rested Tabraiz Shamsi and in his place, Wayne Parnell came into the team.

The Proteas were bowling some thunderbolts as the Indian batters were facing tough times. Lungi Ngidi was the pick of the bowlers where in the 5th over he dismissed Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul. The team had a terrible start to their power play as they lost both of their openers and scored only 33 runs.

Lungi Ngidi Takes Huge Scalp Of Virat Kohli

In the 7th over, skipper Bavuma gave the ball to Ngidi. Virat Kohli smashed back-to-back boundaries where he was looking in sublime touch.  On the 5th bowl, Ngidi surprised Kohli with a bouncer where the batter was caught at long leg by Kagiso Rabada. Due to his dismissal, India was in tatters as their score was 41-3 and all their top 3 batters were in the dugout.

Crucial Phase for India

India would be banking on Suryakumar Yadav to take the team out of the muddle. The right-handed batter has shown that he doesn’t fear any bowling attack. Any score around 150 would be competitive as the pitch has a lot of bounce and pace.

South Africa on the other hand, would be looking to wrap up the innings as quickly as possible as India also has the services of Dinesh Karthik who can easily play a cameo of 30-35 runs in a short period. It would be interesting to see whether Bavuma changes his tactics for the middle-order batters.
