Indian Cricket Team would be eyeing to top Group 2 by registering a resounding victory against Zimbabwe. The Men in Blue has won 3 matches out of 4 and is looking like a force to reckon with. The dashing batter Virat Kohli is in the form of his life as he has scored 3 half-centuries and is looking unstoppable.

The management would be thrilled to see the return of a form of KL Rahul. The batter struck a brilliant half-century against Bangladesh and was looking ominous as he played his natural game rather than getting into the shell.

Gautam Gambhir on India

Gautam Gambhir was seen interacting with Star Sports and was asked about Indian Cricket Team. “If there is one concern, it is your spin bowling, because your spinners have not picked up wickets. That is one area which is a huge concern because if you don’t pick up wickets in the middle overs, and if you are playing against England in the semi-final, it can come back to hurt you.” said Gambhir.

“If India are missing anything, it is a wrist-spinner. They should play a wrist-spinner. You are playing Ashwin because he will give you a little bit of batting, but you need that batting only if you don’t score runs at the top.” he added.

Last Chance for India

As mentioned by Gambhir the management may bring Chahal in place of Ashwin as Ashwin is not amongst the wickets. Chahal is someone who can fox the batters with his shrewd variations. It would be interesting to see whether the team makes any changes as it could affect the dynamics of the team.

Head Coach Rahul Dravid and Skipper Rohit Sharma would be aware of the fact that they cannot take Zimbabwe lightly. Zimbabwe has got nothing to lose as they would be aiming for another upset after Pakistan.
