Namibia and UAE take on each other in match 10 of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 qualifiers in Geelong on October 20. This is the last qualifier game for both teams. UAE have lost both of their games so far. Namibia needs to win their last game to stay in the race for the Super 12s.
There are 8 teams part of the qualifier round of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. They are Sri Lanka, West Indies, Namibia, Netherlands, UAE, Scotland, Ireland, and Zimbabwe. Out of these 8 teams, only 4 will qualify for the super 12 round.
There are two groups in the qualifier round of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. They are Group A and Group B. In group A, there are 4 teams namely Sri Lanka, Namibia, UAE, and the Netherlands. In group B, there are 4 teams- West Indies, Zimbabwe, Scotland, and Ireland.
During the qualifier round of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022, a total of 12 matches will take place. Group A teams will play one match with the other teams in the group. Similarly, Group B teams will play one each against the other teams of the group.
Since there are 4 teams in each group, each team will play 3 matches during the qualifier round. After the end of the qualifier round, the top two teams in Group A and Group B points table will qualify for the super 12 round. Two teams will join Group 1 of the super 12 round while the 2 other teams will join Group 2.
