All About Backing Your Instincts And Game Plan – Ajinkya Rahane
Ajinkya Rahane emphasized the importance of understanding the English conditions, saying that the batters should back their instincts and game plan.
“Playing in England, you have to see the conditions well. Generally, you look at the wicket but in England, you have to look upstairs. If it’s cloudy it’s favorable to bowlers,” Rahane added.

“If it’s sunny, it gets better to bat on. You have to be in the moment, you are never in, that’s what I believe in England, whether you bat 50-plus or 70-plus or just go inside. It’s all about staying in the moment and playing to the conditions really well… Once you are in the middle, it’s all about backing your instincts and game plan,” he concluded.
The veteran batter has a decent record in England, scoring 729 runs in 15 matches in 29 innings at an average of 26.03, including a century and five fifties.
