Rohit Sharma will be leading the side in the 4-match Test series which will commence on February 09.

Australia are on top of the World Test Championship Points Table, while Team India sits at the 2nd spot followed by Sri Lanka and South Africa. The hosts will have to win 3 out of the 4 matches in the Border-Gavaskar trophy to qualify for the WTC final alongside the Aussies.

Ishan Kishan averages 38.76 in 48 First Class games with 6 tons and 16 fifties amassing 2985 runs. KS Bharat may officially debut in the forthcoming IND vs AUS 4 match Test series. He will replace Rishabh Pant who was badly injured in a road accident on Friday, December 30.

KS Bharat has amassed 4707 runs in 86 first-class games averaging 37.95 playing for Andhra with 9 tons and 27 fifties. KS Bharat replaced Wriddhiman Saha behind the stumps after the latter complained of stiffness in his neck ahead of the start of play on Day 3 of the Kanpur Test between India and New Zealand on November 2021 and he took 3 catches behind the stumps.

Suryakumar Yadav

The likes of batters Abhimanyu Easwaran, Priyank Panchal, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Yash Dhull, and Sarfaraz Khan deserve an opportunity and some of them should’ve been picked in IND vs AUS Test series.

Suryakumar Yadav has played 79 first-class games amassing 5549 runs averaging 44.75 with 14 tons and 28 fifties to his name. He received his maiden Test team call-up for the Test series in England tour in 2021.
