Aakash Chopra has drawn attention to the fact that rather than supporting their side, the Australian media appears to be working against them.

Beginning on Friday, February 17, India will play Pat Cummins’ team in the second Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Delhi. Due to adverse weather, the ground in Himachal Pradesh was not prepared to host the game for the third game of the four-match series, which was originally scheduled to be played in Dharamsala.

In a video posted to his YouTube account, Chopra ripped into the perspective of an Australian media outlet on the venue change, saying: “The third Test between India and Australia has been rescheduled from Dharamsala. They brought it to the Indore airport. The pitch at Indore is normally extremely flat, but according to Fox Cricket, only spinners thrive there. Why do you need enemies when you have friends like that?”

Aakash Chopra emphasized that the first two Tests played in Indore were high-scoring contests, explaining: “So far, only two matches have been played in Indore. Mayank Agarwal hit two centuries in one game, and Cheteshwar Pujara also scored runs. There were enough runs scored in both games, one against Sri Lanka and the other against New Zealand.”

“Indore has been a batter’s paradise in ODI cricket”: Aakash Chopra

Aakash Chopra, a former cricketer who is now a broadcaster, gave the following examples to show that Indore has also been a haven for batters in ODI cricket:

“Virender Sehwag also made a double century here. Recently, 300 runs were scored in an ODI match played here. Centuries were scored by Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Devon Conway. In ODI matches, 400-450 runs are made, and you are terrified”

In his closing comment, Chopra suggested that Indore might offer Australia their best opportunity to win or draw a Test match on the tour. He continued, however, by warning the visitors that they will have difficulties if they consider Ravichandran Ashwin’s performance at the venue before the game.
