India is set to face Sri Lanka in an upcoming white-ball series. During the Sri Lanka tour of India 2023 in January, IND vs SL T20I series and IND vs SL ODI series will take place. Both series will witness 3 games each. The T20I series will take place first followed by the ODI series.

He will also open the innings for the team in all three games. Sharma has struggled to score runs in the past few series and will aim to make a comeback against Sri Lanka.

2. Shreyas Iyer

Shreyas Iyer is another player on this list. Iyer showed good form in the recent ODI and Test series against Bangladesh. Iyer is a reliable middle-order batsman for the team. He gives balance and strength to the team’s middle order.

Since Rishabh Pant is also not part of the series, Iyer will be a crucial middle-order batter for the team and will be part of all three ODI games.

Kohli has shown brilliant form in the past few series and will bat at his regular one-down position against Sri Lanka. Kohli is highly unlikely to be benched in any game unless he sustains an injury.
