Australian batsman David Warner has thanked Indian skipper Virat Kohli for the incredible gesture he has come up with for Warner’s daughter. Notably, Virat Kohli has gifted Warner with his signed jersey from the first Test match that Virat was a part of in the recently concluded Border-Gavaskar trophy.

Virat Kohli had flown to Australia along with the Indian team right after the IPL and he had been along with the team until the first Test in Adelaide. After the first Test, he flew back to India as he was granted a paternal leave by the BCCI for the birth of his first child. Team India won the historic series after defeating the Australians 2-1.

The Indian cricket team scaled a massive feat in Australia recently as they beat the hosts in consecutive Border-Gavaskar trophy series. First up, the Indians were shattered at Adelaide in Virat’s presence when the team registered their lowest Test total after being bowled out at 36 runs.

However, the India National Cricket Team bounced back in the second Test at Melbourne and thrashed Australia by 8 wickets. In the third Test at Sydney, both the teams fought hard but India’s resilience proved too strong for the Australians as the Men in Blue salvaged a draw in the third Test.

In the final Test of the series, India was once again in cruise control as a final day beating by the Indian batsmen saw the Australians kneeling down in the final Test and eventually losing the Border-Gavaskar trophy. For David Warner, the series was a forgetful one as he could not play the first two matches due to injury and in the last two games, he failed to leave an impact.
