IND vs BAN: "India's Bowling Was Third Class"- Danish Kaneria Criticizes India's Bowling After The Team Loses The ODI Series Against Bangladesh
Updated - 08 Dec 2022, 04:20 PM
Danish Kaneria, a former leg-spinner for Pakistan, has criticized Team India’s bowlers in the wake of the Men in Blue’s series defeat by Bangladesh. After allowing the hosts to rally from 69/6 to record 271/7 in the second ODI on Wednesday in Dhaka, Kaneria referred to India’s bowling as “third class.”
After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, Bangladesh lost six wickets in 19 overs. Mehidy Hasan Miraz (100* off 83) and Mahmudullah (77 off 96), however, gave Bangladesh’s innings a significant lift by adding 148 runs for the seventh wicket.

The home team went on to win the second ODI by five runs, giving them a commanding 2-0 series lead. Kaneria praised Bangladesh’s performance while criticizing the Indian bowlers for failing to remove the opposition’s lower order.
Danish Kaneria stated on his YouTube channel: “It might sound harsh, but India’s bowling was third class. Where is Indian cricket going? Bangladesh’s conditions are similar to India’s. There are bowler-friendly wickets; still, their bowlers are getting exposed.”
“Don’t they have that wicket-taking ability? Are India missing Bumrah, Shami, and Bhuvneshwar? India needs to put together a good bowling unit” Danish Kaneria Added.

“Siraj leaked too many runs”: Danish Kaneria
Mohammed Siraj, a fast bowler for Team India, cheaply dismissed both of Bangladesh’s openers but ended up being quite costly. Danish Kaneria was unimpressed with the pacer’s effort and remarked that Siraj could not be reckless in the sake of aggression.
“Siraj gave up too many runs.” It’s fine to be aggressive, but his bowling was terrible. He didn’t appear to be in sync. Shardul Thakur did not appear to be in sync. When Bangladesh reached 270, India realized it was going to be difficult.”
While Siraj went for 73 runs in his ten overs, Thakur only gave up 47 but was taken for 16 in his final over.
