The second and final test match of the series between India and Bangladesh at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka is evenly poised, as either of the two teams can win the game. Bangladesh were bowled out for 231 runs in the second innings, setting India a target of 145 runs. The KL Rahul-led team lost 4 wickets for 45 runs at the end of Day 3 and needed 100 runs to win the game.

The third day of the India-Bangladesh second Test was packed with action. The Indian bowlers made it difficult for the hosts’ batsmen to play freely. Virat Kohli had a heated discussion with Bangladesh players as they celebrated in his face while spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz was going through India’s top order.

Wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das put up a strong fight and led the Bangladeshi team, scoring 73 runs off 98 balls. The Crowd Was Shouting Something – Mohammed Siraj

In the post-match conference, Siraj made it clear that there was no rivalry between him and Litton, and everything was played in the spirit of the game. Siraj said that cricket is a gentleman’s game, and as a fast bowler, he needs is a bit of banter with the batsman to get going.

“The crowd was shouting things; that is why I did that. After an LBW appeal against Taskin, I went back to fielding, and the crowd was shouting something. That’s why I did that,” he said in the post-match press conference.

“There is nothing with Litton Das. It’s a gentleman’s game. Don’t think so much. All a fast bowler needs is a bit of chit chat with the batsman so that his focus shifts and then he says some words. There is no such rivalry. It’s just fun,” he added.
