India outplayed Bangladesh by 188 runs in the 1st Test. Batting first in the match, India piled up 404-10 in the 1st innings. Cheteshwar Pujara (90) and Shreyas Iyer (86) played brilliant knocks for the team. Later, India bowled out Bangladesh for 150 in the 1st innings with Kuldeep Yadav’s incredible 5-wicket haul.

In the 2nd innings, Shubman Gill (110) and Cheteshwar Pujara (102*) slammed centuries to take India to 258-2 (d). India set a target of 513 for Bangladesh in the final innings. Opener Zakir Hasan hit a century for the team but the hosts were eventually bowled out for 324, losing the game by 188 runs.
