The Test series will follow the ODI series. During India vs Bangladesh Test series, two Test matches will be played. The 1st Test will take place from December 14 to 18 while the 2nd Test will take place from December 22 to 26. The venue of the 1st Test is Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram. The venue of the 2nd Test is Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka.

India and Bangladesh last face each other in a bilateral series in November 2019, during the Bangladesh tour of India 2019. During the series, India and Bangladesh played three T20Is and two Tests.
