Ishan Kishan smashed his maiden ODI century against Bangladesh in the third and final One-Day International (ODI) of the three-match series at the Zahur Ahmed Chaudhary Stadium in Chattogram on Saturday, December 10. The left-handed batsman took 85 balls to reach the milestone in his first match of the tour.

The 24-year-old former India captain Virat Kohli put on a 150-run partnership for the second wicket. Shikhar Dhawan continued his bad form and he was dismissed by Mehidy Hasan for 3 runs. Litton Das dropped a simple catch when Virat Kohli was on 1, and Kohli took advantage of it to score a half-century.

Ishan Kishan Scored His Maiden Century In 85 Balls

Earlier, Bangladesh skipper Litton Das won the toss and chose to bowl first. Ishan Kishan and Kuldeep Yadav replaced Rohit Sharma and Deepak Chahar as the Men in Blue made two changes. Regular India captain Rohit Sharma has been ruled out of the last game due to a thumb injury, and KL Rahul has taken over as captain. The hosts have already taken a commanding 2-0 lead in the three-match series.

Ishan Kishan is one of India’s young players who has not had many chances to play for the national team. However, there is no change in his approach when batting. He was named in the playing eleven for the third ODI against Bangladesh in place of the injured Rohit Sharma. Taking full advantage of this, he scored a century in no time and adopted an aggressive strategy from the start.
