Ravichandran Ashwin might be another player who might announce his retirement after the IND vs ENG series. The right-arm spinner is a regular member for India in the Test format. However, he never makes it to the limited-overs matches nowadays.
Ashwin is being highly challenged by young and emerging spinners like Ravi Bishnoi, Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, and Yuzvendra Chahal among others, who want to make it big in the longest format. If Ravichandran Ashwin fails to come up with a good performance in England, selectors might overlook him in the upcoming Test series which might compel him to retire from Tests.
