Edgbaston, England

Following accusations of racist behaviour during England’s Test match versus India at Edgbaston, Birmingham Police said that a fan has been detained for a “racially aggravated public order crime.”

On the fourth day of the test, which England won by seven wickets to tie the series at 2-2, a number of Indian fans claimed they had been the victim of racial taunts from other spectators at the Birmingham site.

The three-match series’ opening T20 was won by India by a score of 50 runs.
