In terms of the game, the Indian fast bowling, which was led by Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah, snacked on English batsmen and turned in tight bowling efforts to enable the visitors win the T20 series after bowling England out for 121 runs in the second T20I at Birmingham on Saturday.

In the second T20I played in Birmingham, England bowlers led by Richard Gleeson and Chris Jordan dominated the Indian batters as Men in Blue posted a respectable 170/8 in their 20 overs, with contributions from captain Rohit Sharma (31) and Ravindra Jadeja (46*) proving to be crucial for the visitors.

Rohit Sharma etched his name in history:

Rohit Sharma, the skipper of India, made history by being the first Indian player to hit 300 boundaries in a T20 match on an international stage. After seasoned Irish batter Paul Stirling, Rohit became just the second player in the short format’s history to reach this milestone.

Given that they both had 298 fours to their names, Kohli and Rohit were in a close contest to become the first Indian to reach the landmark going into the following game. The chance to win the race, though, fell to the opening batsman Rohit, and two boundaries from him gave him the first Indian hitter to reach the milestone. Rohit gave the Men in Blue a strong start with a knock of 31 in 20 balls after England won the toss and decided to bowl first.
