Dinesh Karthik is the first player on this list. Dinesh Karthik has been given an opportunity to make a comeback to the T20I side after his good show in IPL 2022. Although he has performed well in T20Is, he will face a real challenge against a strong team like England.

If Karthik needs to prove he is a powerful batsman for the team, he will have to impress in ENG vs IND series. Otherwise, selectors might pick other young batters in the playing XI in the shortest format in future.

2. Sanju Samson

Sanju Samson is another player on this list. Samson is part of the Ireland T20I series and hence might be picked in ENG vs IND T20I series. However, Samson has a strong competition with wicketkeepers like Rishabh Pant, Ishan Kishan, and Dinesh Karthik among others.

Axar Patel is another player on this list. Patel is currently part of the IND vs IRE T20I series and might also be picked in the ENG vs IND series. The left-arm spinner recently played against South Africa. Axar Patel is a spin all-rounder and there is a limited spot for such bowlers in the team.

If he fails to come up with a good show against England, he might lose his spot on the T20I side. Moreover, Patel is seen as an emerging spinner in Tests.
