India will battle against Ireland in a forthcoming T20I series. The IND vs IRE T20I series commences later this month and comprises 2 T20I games. KL Rahul is the first player on this list. Rahul is the skipper of the Indian team in IND vs SA T20I series. He might also lead the team against Ireland. KL Rahul is a top choice of opener for India across formats.

The right-handed batsman has executed fabulous performances in the past to cement his place in the national team. Moreover, he is also the regular vice-captain for India in ODIs and T20Is. Even if KL Rahul fails to perform in IND vs IRE T20I series, his place in the T20 squad will not be affected.

Hence, even if Shreyas Iyer fails to perform in the IND vs IRE T20I series, he will continue to be part of the India T20 squad in future.
