Rohit Sharma, the captain of India, previously gave Sanju Samson a tonne of support in order for him to be selected for the T20 World Cup team. In Australia, he had acknowledged, India would have benefited from Samson’s batting talent. Samson, however, was overlooked for the World Cup since he did not receive the chance to succeed after the IPL.

A week after India’s elimination from the competition, a video featuring former India head coach Ravi Shastri leaked on Twitter, in which he delivers a severe warning to the India team management regarding Samson.

Ravi Shastri, former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan, and former top selector Krishnamachari Srikkanth were having a talk on Star Sports shortly after the defeat. “Give him a chance. Give him 10 matches. Not like you play him in two games and then drop him. Drop the others, give him 10 matches and then take a call on whether to give him more opportunities or not, “Ravi Shastri said.
