IND vs NZ: Thanks To BCCI For Playing Umran Malik And Sanju Samson: Twitter Reacts On India's Playing XI For New Zealand In 1st ODI

Twitterati was elated when Shikhar Dhawan, India’s ODI captain for the ODI series against New Zealand, announced India’s playing XI for the first ODI of the three-match series against the Kiwis. While Umran Malik and Arshdeep Singh made their ODI debuts for the Men in Blue, Sanju Samson was inducted into India’s playing XI after being neglected for the T20I series.

New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson won the toss at Eden Park in Auckland and they elected to field first in the first ODI. Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill were back as the openers in the side for team India whereas, the team management decided to go ahead with only 3 pacers in Umran Malik, Arhsdeep Singh, and Shardul Thakur.

Indian skipper Shikhar Dhawan said at the toss, “It’s an amazing place, I enjoy playing over here. No issues batting first, I would have bowled first. I feel the wicket is a bit sticky but the sun is out and it should dry out soon. With this team, we have played a few series earlier as well. It’s a good opportunity for all the youngsters to perform and show their talents.”

“We are very fortunate that we’ve got Indians all over the world and they keep supporting us, we are grateful for it. We’ve got 2 debutants – Arshdeep Singh and Umran Malik,” the skipper further added.

after long time i am so happy
for one player debut he is umran malik.we should use genuine fast bowlers as early as possible because their careers too short amid injuries ,he might nt bowl same speed after 6-7 years and it's rare talent for indian cricket.
