After the T20I series, India will play a three-match ODI series against the Kiwis starting with the first match on November 25 in Auckland. The next two games will be played in Hamilton (November 27) and Christchurch (November 30). The Men in Blue are heading into this series winning the T20I series 1-0. 

Shikhar Dhawan will lead the Indian side and Kane Williamson will continue to lead the Kiwis. T20I skipper Hardik Pandya has been rested from this series alongside other senior players in the side like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, and Jasprit Bumrah.

Jadeja will eventually miss out on the upcoming Bangladesh series as well. He has not yet recovered from the surgery that he did after being ruled out of the game since India’s group-stage match vs Hong Kong in the Asia Cup 2022. 

The Kiwis have a full-strength squad for the series. Trent Boult and Martin Guptill are not a part of the squad after they ended their central contacts with the board. They would like to win the ODI series after failing to level the T20I series from a potential position of strength in the final T20I due to rain.

India won the three-match T20I series 1-0 after rain washed out the first T20I. India won the second game by 65 runs on the back of Suryakumar Yadav’s 111 which was his second T20I century this year. The third T20I ended in a tie as per the DLS method after rain played spoilsport again.
