The NZ vs IND ODI series comes to an end with the third and final game in Christchurch. The Kiwis lead the series 1-0 after their win in the first game in Auckland. The second ODI ended in a no-result due to persistent rain. India needs to win the final ODI to level the series.

In case the match is rained out, the Kiwis will win the ODI series. The Kiwis won their last 5 completed ODIs against India. The first ODI win was their 50th over the Men in Blue in the format.

India defeated the home team New Zealand in the three-match T20I series 1-0. The opening T20I game was washed out due to rain. In the 2nd T20I, the men-in-blue won by 65 runs after defending a mammoth 191-run target. The IND vs NZ 3rd T20I was tied through the DLS method.

As far as NZ vs IND head-to-head is concerned, both teams have played 112 ODIs to date with India winning 55 and the Kiwis winning 50. India last played in New Zealand in 2020. The Men in Blue won the T20I series 5-0. However, the Kiwis came back to win the ODI (3-0) and Test (2-0) series. One of their last five wins against India was the 2019 World Cup semi-final which put India out of the tournament.

The Kiwi win in the first ODI was designed by an unbeaten 221-run partnership between Kane Williamson (94) and Tom Latham (145*). Latham notched up his seventh ODI ton in the process and also his second against India.

This NZ vs IND series has already been interrupted by rain twice. The very first T20I in Wellington was washed out due to rain followed by the second ODI in Hamilton. There is rain expected in the third and final ODI as well. The match starts at 2.30 pm local time.

The weather will be cloudy and breezy in the afternoon with the conditions turning even colder in the afternoon. Light rain is expected to make its presence felt in the city throughout the day, with the temperature around 17 degrees in the afternoon as per Accuweather. There is an 88 percent chance of rain of more than 10 mm. 

As far as the pitch is concerned, Christchurch is one of the best batting pitches in the country when the weather conditions are good to play the game. So far 22 ODIs have been played at this venue with 11 matches won each by the team batting first and chasing. There is an even bounce on the track, and the batters will find no difficulty in playing their shots.
