India and South Africa will lock horns in the 3rd ODI of ongoing India’s tour of South Africa 2021-22. The IND vs SA 3rd ODI is set to take place on January 23 (Sunday) at Newlands Cricket Stadium in Cape Town.

In IND vs SA 2nd ODI, India batted first and posted 287-6 in 50 overs. Opener Shikhar Dhawan could not go big this time, getting out for 29. Virat Kohli, who slammed a half-century in the 1st game, got out for a humiliating duck. Later, KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant hit a 114-run stand for 3rd wicket.

Both of them also slammed fifties, with KL Rahul hitting 55 and Pant slamming a fabulous 85. However, things started to fall after both of them got out during 32-33 overs. Venkatesh Iyer and Shreyas Iyer failed to give the necessary finish to the batting, getting out for 22 and 11 respectively.
Towards the end, Ravichandran Ashwin slammed an unbeaten 25 while Shardul Thakur scored an unbeaten 40. For South Africa, Tambariz Shamsi bagged 2 wickets while Andile Phehlukwayo, Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi, and Sisanda Magala got 1 wicket each.
South African openers Quinton de Kock and Janneman Malan slammed 78 and 91 run-knocks to give an impeccable start to the team. With an opening stand of 132 runs, South Africa gained a dominating position in the match. Later, Temba Bavuma, Aiden Markram, and Rassie van der Dussen scored in thirties to bring home the victory for the team by 7 wickets.
