Danish Kaneria claimed that Sanju Samson was sent before the batter who was in good form, the same strategy the Indian team management did for Rishabh Pant.
Sanju Samson blew a good opportunity to make an impact when he was dismissed for 12 in the first ODI of the series on Friday.

Sanju Samson was out at place 12 after being bowled by Romario Shepherd. He appealed the judgment, but it was unsuccessful because it was an “umpire’s call,” which caused him to leave the game early in India’s ODI opening game against the West Indies on Friday. The right-handed batsman missed an excellent chance to have a contribution, particularly now that nearly every periphery player is vying for a berth in the World T20 squad.

Samson, who has wavered in the India jersey, will once more be the center of attention on Sunday. He has participated in two One Day Internationals and 14 Twenty20 matches, scoring 58 and 251 runs, respectively. A player of his caliber will inevitably take a beating.
‘Hooda should have come ahead of Samson’: Danish Kaneria
Former Pakistan spinner Danish Kaneria thinks Samson must not be prioritized over Deepak Hooda, who has been enjoying a phenomenal run of late. Hooda came after Samson in the first ODI and was dismissed with a score of 27.
“Samson was given a second chance, although he did not seem exceptional. Before Romario Shepherd took him out, he had a dull appearance. But I will bring up Hooda once again. Why did he knock the order down?”

“At No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, Shreyas and Suryakumar perform admirably, but Hooda ought to have placed before Samson. Samson was promoted farther up the list by India, just like Rishabh Pant. Samson is not Pant, though. He bats entirely differently, “Danish Kaneria stated on his YouTube page.
The 2nd ODI of the current series between West Indies and India is scheduled to take place on July 24. (Sunday).
