IND vs WI: Ignoring Sanju Samson For Shreyas Iyer Is Beyond Cricketing Logic- Former Pacer Dodda Ganesh Says Of India's T20I Squad For The WI Tour

Former India pacer Dodda Ganesh was unimpressed by the decision to leave Sanju Samson out of the T20I squad for the West Indies tour.
Samson, who has never had a good run at the international level, was benched after just one T20I against Ireland when he had scored the most scores for India (77). India decided to continue with Shreyas Iyer and Deepak Hooda, two seasoned performers.

Samson has only appeared in 13 T20Is for India since making his international debut in Zimbabwe back in 2015. His longest streak of accolades was three games. Given that the captain of the Rajasthan Royals has consistently been one of the most talked-about players in the IPL, it seems to sense that the fans were incensed by his absence.

Samons’ exclusion, though, attracted scant attention than the 18-member Indian team’s Thursday announcement that Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah were absent. Although BCCI did not specify the cause, it is most likely that both of them were exhausted.
‘You would want to players like Sanju Samson’: Dodda Ganesh
Sanju Samson’s exclusion from the T20I team for the West Indies tour by the Indian selectors did not impress former India bowler Dodda Ganesh.
“Ideally, you would want players like Sanju Samson in the T20s. Ignoring him for Shreyas Iyer is beyond cricketing rationale,” tweeted Dodda Ganesh.
