A strong showing for the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL) aided the 22-year-first old’s call-up to the national team. He began his career warming the bench for the home series against South Africa and the tour of Ireland.

However, Singh was eventually given the opportunity to demonstrate his talent on a global scale against England.

Sodhi believes the youngster is capable of managing the pressures of an ICC event.
