England’s death-overs specialist Chris Jordan bagged a contract with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for INR 3.6 crores in the IPL 2022 mega auction.

Jordan went unsold on Day 1 of the auction but he found bidders on Day 2 in the final stretch of the event. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) opened the bidding before CSK joined in.

The Yellow Brigade was willing to go past INR 3 crores at which point their Southern rivals pulled the plug. They bagged Jordan with a winning bid of INR 3.6 crores.

He has previously played for Punjab Kings, RCB, and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Although he has the reputation of a successful death bowler, Jordan has failed to impress in the IPL.

He has only played 24 matches and has picked 25 wickets but at a poor economy of 9.12. Nevertheless, he is an excellent fielder and can contribute a bit with the bat as well. His record for England borders on the same line as his IPL record, albeit a bit improved economy rate of 8.66.
