David Warner Hints At Entering IPL 2022 Mega Auction

Star Australia opening batsman David Warner who is one of the biggest stars and one of the most successful players in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has hinted at entering the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 mega auction.

Several cricket experts have said that Australian opener David Warner will not be part of the auction as he will be roped in by one of the new teams ( Lucknow and Ahmedabad) before the IPL 2022 mega auction after getting released from Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). However, looks like Warner has some other plans and he has not been approached by new teams.

Talking about his overall achievements with the Sunrisers Hyderabad, David Warner is the highest run-getter for the Hyderabad franchise in the history of the Indian Premier League (IPL) as he has managed to score over 4000 for the Orange army at an average of 49.55 and strike rate of 142.59.

Auction I Guess: David Warner Replies To A Fan Who Asks About IPL Future

Warner who is an active user of the social media platform Instagram was recently asked by a fan about his future plans in the Indian Premier League, the fan wrote:

 “Warner bro what’s up about IPL.”

The Australian opener replying to the fan said that he might enter the auction. He wrote:

 “Auction I guess.”

Notably, Warner is the highest overseas run-getter in the history of the Indian Premier League and he is also a very successful captain as he led Sunrisers Hyderabad towards their maiden IPL title in 2016.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season was a very poor season for Warner as he was dropped from the team, as well as captaincy and Kane Williamson, was appointed as the new captain. Meanwhile, ahead of the IPL 2022 auctions, SRH has retained Kane Williamson, Abdul Samad and Umran Malik. Notably, Star Leg-spinner Rashid Khan has also failed to make to the list of the retained players.
