DC vs SRH: Twitter Reacts As Delhi Brush Aside Hyderabad To Register Convincing Victory

Delhi Capitals (DC) returned to winning ways on Thursday as they comfortably moved past Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) challenge to leap to the 5th spot on the IPL 2022 points table.
Batting first, David Warner had a score to settle with his former franchise and he played like it. He smashed his way to an excellent 58-ball 92 that included 12 fours and 3 sixes.
Rovman Powell played the perfect second-fiddle before taking over. He was moving slowly, scoring 18 in his first 16 balls before finishing on 67 off just 35 balls. With the ball, Bhuvneshwar Kumar was brilliant as he conceded just 25 runs and took a wicket.

Chasing 208, SRH was down in the dumps at 37/3 at the end of the 7th over. Kane Williamson’s woeful IPL with the bat continued as he fell for an 11-ball 4. The run rate had already climbed past 14 at that point.
Aiden Markram and Nicholas Pooran stitched a 60-run partnership before the former fell for 42. All hopes rested on the newly-named West Indian white-ball skipper but he fell short after making 62 in 34 balls.

The win was much-needed for Delhi, taking them above Sunrisers and into the 5th spot on the table with an excellent net run rate. They continue to have their destiny in their own hands whereas, for SRH, things have started to look bleak.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to DC vs SRH:

– Suddenly its looking like srh doesn't have any batters except Pooran and markram
– Play Rahul Tripathi as an opener with Abhishek Sharma
– Umran Malik should be benched for few games#SRHvsDC

If Nicholas Pooran waited a ball or two … and then faced these spinners…I believe he could have SRH win the game. He's that good against Spinners !#SRHvsDC #IPL2022

While everyone is praising #UmranMalik for his 155 plus deliveries I believe his 4 overs for 52 runs costed @SunRisers the game. He at-least conceded 20 extra runs and they lost the match by 21 runs. Raw pace is not everything. #IPL2022 #SRHvsDC #DCvsSRH pic.twitter.com/JmQxf3eLcO

well played @nicholas_47 and @AidenMarkram you did your best and others did not contribute at all. @SunRisers get the players to field better, not drop catches @KaneWiliamson you need to bat well and so other openers. #disappointed #SRH

Just thinking how helpful it would have been if those 7 balls that williamson used for his test innings were left in last overs

Delhi capital is alive when Rovman Powell breathes Fire…

#DelhiCapitals almost played to their full potential today, brilliant hitting from @davidwarner31 and @Ravipowell26 ? @nicholas_47 almost took the game away but a superb spell from @imK_Ahmed13 has helped them leapfrog #SRH to 5th place! #DCvsSRH #IPL2022

Kane Williamson's Total Match Impact in #IPL2022 is -85, the lowest for any player in the tournament.
