Delhi Capitals vs Rajasthan Royals, RR Playing 11 vs DC (Predicted), IPL 2022, Match 34, DC vs RR. Delhi Capitals will take on Rajasthan Royals in match 34 of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on Friday (April 22) at Wankhede Stadium.

MI vs CSK Dream11 Prediction

The Delhi Capitals’ camp has been hit by COVID-19 as Australia all-rounder Mitchell Marsh and New Zealand wicketkeeper-batsman Tim Seifert have both tested positive for the virus. Two other support staff members have also tested positive.

The game has been, therefore, shifted to Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai from MCA Stadium, Pune to avoid travel of the Delhi squad. Despite being hit by COVID-19, the Rishabh Pant-led side registered an emphatic 9-wicket win over Punjab Kings and their morale will be high.

With four wins and two defeats, Rajasthan Royals are sitting at the third spot with a net run rate of (+0.380). While Delhi Capitals are sitting at sixth position with three wins in six games. Delhi’s net run rate is +0.942, which is the best amongst all 10 teams.

In a thrilling match, Rajasthan Royals beat Kolkata Knight Riders by 7 runs in their last match at Brabourne Stadium. Jos Buttler laid the foundation of the win for the Royals with a sublime century to take his team to a mammoth 217/5 in 20 overs.

The wicketkeeper batter slammed 103 runs off 61 balls but it was Yuzvendra Chahal who claimed a hat-trick to turn the tide in Rajasthan’s favor when KKR was marching towards a sensational win. KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer scored a fabulous 85 runs but it wasn’t enough as Yuzvendra Chahal claimed five-wicket to derail KKR’s chase. Obed McCoy sealed the game for RR with two wickets in the final over.

It was a narrow escape for Sanju Samson’s side in their last game against the Kolkata Knight Riders. They put up 217 runs on the board and nearly threw it away to win by only 7 runs. Their bowlers have looked in poor form in the last two games and Sanju Samson would like to see a better show against the Delhi Capitals against whom his side hasn’t done well in the last four seasons.

Jos Buttler has been in incredible form. He would need support from another opener Devdutt Padikkal who has failed to convert his starts. Sanju Samson did well in the last game, and he will need to build partnerships with Shimron Hetmyer and Riyan Parag in the game against Delhi. Down the order, Karun Nair and Ravichandran Ashwin aren’t the best hitters of the ball and the side would like to see them make contributions.

Bowling has been a problem for the side in the last two games and they would need a good start from pacers Trent Boult and Prasidh Krishna. Ravichandran Ashwin hasn’t been at his best and the side would like to see him make use of his experience along with Yuzvendra Chahal who has had a good season. Obed McCoy needs to do well here and justify his selection.

In the last IPL 2022 game Karun Nair, Trent Boult, and Obed McCoy came in place of James Neesham, Kuldeep Sen, and Rassie van der Dussen. They may retain their places in the XI.

Jos Buttler was one of the expected retentions for the Rajasthan Royals for INR 10 Crores and he brings a lot of value to the side in terms of winning games for the franchise. Jos Buttler has the ability to win matches on his own and he scored 254 runs in seven IPL games last year at a strike rate of 153 which speaks volumes of his ability.

He has scored the first ton of IPL 2022 and is currently the leading run-scorer (Orange Cap holder) with 375 runs in 5 games averaging 75. He scored another ton against KKR in the last game.
