Gujarat Titans (GT) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, according to former India wicketkeeper Parthiv Patel, have benefited from the emergence of many match-winners in different circumstances.
With only one loss this season, the Hardik Pandya-led team is in the second position in the league.
Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Rahul Tewatia, and David Miller have all stepped up when needed, while the bowling department has been reasonably consistent. At the halfway point of the season, the franchise surprised everyone by winning against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK).
Highlighting Gujarat Titans’ ability to finish games, Parthiv Patel said on Cricbuzz:
“Finding ways to win from almost any situation has been a specialty for GT now. Some people might say they are lucky, but finishing the game is an art. Someone or the other steps up for GT always.”
Patel went on to say: “With the way things are going, I don’t believe there is any need to make any changes. Wade will be forced to sit out till Pandya begins bowling. They’ll have to stick with Saha till then.”

Shubman Gill has had a rocky start to his tenure since joining the new organization as the third overall pick in the player draught before the mega auction.
While he has the highest IPL score, he has also had a string of poor results. In seven games, the young batter has a strike rate of 151 and has scored 207 runs.
Parthiv Patel identified Gill as the player to watch in the GT vs SRH match, saying:
“It’s impossible to pick just one player because there are so many talented individuals. Shubman Gill is a player to keep an eye on. He was hitting the ball great, but he hasn’t scored any runs in the last two games.”
On Wednesday, the Gujarat-based side will face Sunrisers Hyderabad in the season’s 40th league match.
