Shreyas Iyer

Iyer has voluntarily expressed his interest in not getting retained by his previous franchise Delhi Capitals after being stripped off as the captain of the side. A shoulder injury ruled him out of the first leg of IPL 2021 and he was not made the captain on his return on the second leg.
Meanwhile, franchises like the Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore have expressed their interest in roping him in as the captain of their side. Iyer took over as the captain of the Capitals in 2018. The side made the playoffs in 2019 and played the final of IPL 2020 under his captaincy.
“Post Virat Kohli quitting the RCB captaincy, RCB are really interested in having Iyer as their next captain. Expect them to bid aggressively for the Mumbaikar in next month’s auction in Bangalore. The Kolkata Knight Riders and Punjab Kings are also expected to eye him in the auction,” a source was quoted as saying to TOI.

David Warner

Warner was released by Sunrisers Hyderabad ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auctions. He sat on the sidelines for the most part of the second leg of IPL 2021 which was already a hint that the franchise is looking to part ways with the southpaw.
Now, David Warner will head onto the auction pool looking to lead any of the new franchises or even the existing ones. He has previously won the IPL title with SRH in 2016. The likes of Rajasthan Royals, Punjab Kings, KKR are likely to bid for him in the auctions. He is not linked with any of the franchises as yet.
Rashid Khan

The Afghanistan spinner being released by Sunrisers Hyderabad came as a big surprise during the retention window. Reportedly the Ahmedabad franchise has sent an IPL contract to the Afghanistan spinner. Both the two new franchises were eager to rope in Rashid with Ahmedabad finally being successful in sending him an IPL contract. For SRH, Rashid Khan picked 93 wickets between 2017-2021.
