Ahead of the IPL mega-auctions 2022, all the eight existing franchises have announced the players which they wanted to retain for the next edition of the tournament.
The highly-anticipated Mega-Auction 2022 is scheduled to be held on 13th and 14th February 2022. All the eight existing franchises have already announced their list of retained players. The two new teams, Lucknow and Ahmedabad have also announced their three draft picks.
A total of 33 players have been retained or acquired by the ten franchises, which will participate in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League.
The registration for the IPL 2022 player auction ended on 20th January 2022. As per the latest data, 1214 players have registered for the IPL auction. Of those 1214, 896 cricketers are Indians, while 318 are overseas.
