IPL 2022: Both Pollard and Rohit Know How To Come Out Of a Bad Phase: Jaydev Unadkat

IPL 2022: Mumbai Indians have lost 6 games on the trot in IPL 2022. No one would have expected this start from the 5-time champions. Even the franchise itself wouldn’t have seen this coming. But this season has shown that the best of the best struggle when nothing goes your way. MI’s bowling has lacked depth while their batters have failed to convert the starts.
The biggest concern in their batting department is Kieron Pollard and Rohit Sharma both of whom were retained ahead of the mega auctions. But Jaydev Unadkat believes that both batters will come out of this bad form.

Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard Are Struggling For Runs
Rohit Sharma has had only one good score so far in the tournament. His highest score in 6 Innings so far 41. Apart from that, he has not a single big score. He has only scored 114 runs from 6 games so far at a below-par average of 19.83. His strike rate is low too, he is striking at only 123. 95.
Mumbai Indians and arguably the league’s best finisher Kieron Pollard too has been struggling this season. The big man from. Trinidad and Tobago has only scored 82 runs from 6 innings at a strike rate of 134.43.

“Polly’s batting position is a challenging one. You either have to rebuild or continue the momentum. There were a couple of games where one shot could have changed the game, it was that close. It’s about taking the team over the line once, when you do that you get the belief and confidence back. It happens to the best players and that one shot could change it. I am sure Polly and Rohit know best how to come out of this phase”, said Jayden Unadkat on the form of the two MI batters ahead of their clash with Chennai Super Kings.
There is not much left in the league for Mumbai Indians so the management of the franchise would hope that their senior players can go out there and play freely.
