The finalists of the Indian Premier League season 13, Delhi Capitals (DC) have signed up Biju George as their fielding coach for the upcoming IPL 2022 season. He will replace Mohammad Kaif, the former India cricketer, who held that position till last season.

“We have taken him for the season and he comes with good years of experience – both in IPL and international cricket,” a promoter of the franchise told Cricbuzz on Wednesday (March 9) confirming the recruitment.

Delhi Capitals are also in a conundrum about the availability of their spearhead of fast bowling, South Africa’s Anrich Nortje, who they had retained ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction. Nortje has not played any cricket since the T20 World Cup 2021 due to a hip injury and as per the South Africa selection convenor, he is looking unlikely to play in the IPL 2022.
