Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar has an advice for Gujarat Titans to stop Rajasthan Royals in-form batter Jos Buttler in the IPL 2022 final.
Buttler has been phenomenal for Rajasthan Royals in the ongoing IPL 2022 having scored 824 runs in 16 innings on the back of four hundreds and a strike rate of 151.47 this season so far.

Buttler scored his fourth century of this season and remained undefeated on 106 against RCB in the Qualifier 2, his innings was studded with 10 fours and six sixes.
Manjrekar suggested Titans to deploy leg-spinner Rashid Khan against the Englishman.
“Maybe try Rashid Khan against Buttler. He bowls stump to stump. Whenever Buttler has been in trouble, it has been with that line that has been straight on, into the stumps and full,” Manjrekar told ESPNcricinfo.

Daniel Vettori’s suggestion to get Jos Buttler out in the IPL 2022 final
Former New Zealand captain Daniel Vettori had a contrary idea to the one of Manjrekar’s to stop the Buttler juggernaut.
Vettori reckoned pace bowlers led by Mohammed Shami to show utmost discipline while bowling their line and length and targer Buttler’s stumps.
“I think GT have the personnel, particularly in Mohammed Shami. Seam bowlers have had some success in the past against him with that Test-match line and lengths, trying to challenge the stumps as much as possible. If they can be aggressive in those areas, they can give themselves a chance, or be it a very tough one,” Vettori said.
Buttler scored 89 off 56 balls with the help of 12 fours and a couple of sixes despite struggling in the start of the innings. He was ran out by collective efforts of Alzarri Joseph and Wriddhiman Saha.
However, Buttler’s knock went in vain as Gujarat Titans chased the target back on David Miller’s fireworks. Miller smashed Prasidh Krishna for three successive sixes as Titans needed 16 runs in the final over.
The Sanju Samson-led side will face Gujarat Titans in IPL 2022 final on Sunday (May 29) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
