Lucknow Supergiants bought as many as 18 players in the IPL 2022 mega auction. Jason Holder, Quinton De Kock, Avesh Khan, Manish Pandey and Krunal Pandya are some of the most crucial buys for the team. The franchise had already drafted  KL Rahul for Rs. 17 crores, Marcus Stoinis for Rs. 9.2 crores and Ravi Bishnoi for Rs. 4 crores during the retention window.

Lucknow Supergiants is a side that is packed with all-round options. Mentor Gautam Gambhir has focussed specifically on picking up multi-talented cricketers. They have a good pool of Indian and overseas options to choose from. KL Rahul will be leading the side and under the mentorship of Gambhir is expected to be a little more aggressive. Stoinis was picked by the franchise ahead of the mega auction with the belief that he would perform the all-rounder’s role to perfection for the side. His impressive numbers with Delhi Capitals made the franchise add him to their squad. He will probably bat anywhere between number four to number seven in the batting order and bowl his quota of overs almost every game. He was recently a part of the Australian team that beat Sri Lanka 4-1 in a T20I series.
