Former Indian cricketer Aakash Chopra believes that the withdrawal of players such as Jason Roy and Alex Hales from the next 15th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2022) may cause franchises to reconsider recruiting English stars.

On March 26, the 15th season of Indian Premier will begin. At Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, the Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings will face off in the first game.

IPL 2022 will feature a total of ten teams. The competition has been expanded to include two additional teams: the Lucknow Super Giants and the Gujarat Titans.

Chopra questioned Alex Hales’ decision to quit from the IPL 2022 season, claiming bio-bubble fatigue, on his Twitter account. When Hales and Roy enrolled for the auction, he claimed that they were both aware of what was in store for them, and wrote:
“The IPL clubs may be hesitant to look in their direction in the future if English stars withdraw from the competition citing bubble-fatigue issues after making themselves available knowing full well what they were signed up for.”

It’s worth noting that due to bio-bubble weariness, both English players have dropped out of this year’s cash-rich league. At the mega-auction last month, the Gujarat Titans paid 2 crores for Roy, while the Kolkata Knight Riders paid 1.5 crores for Hales.

In the 2022 Indian Premier League, Aaron Finch will take over as Alex Hales:

Aaron Finch, Australia’s T20 World Cup-winning captain, has been added to Kolkata’s IPL 2022 lineup. For the season, the swashbuckling opener will take the place of England’s Alex Hales.

Finch will play for KKR for the ninth time in the league, which is the most by any player in the tournament’s history. In 2020, he made his final appearance in the IPL, playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Finch first appeared in the IPL in 2010 and has since appeared in 87 games. He has a strike rate of 127.71 and has a career average of 25.38 runs.
