IPL 2022: Jos Buttler No. 1 White-Ball Player By A Country Mile - Michael Vaughan

Former England captain Michael Vaughan praised Jos Buttler as the best limited-overs player in the world, saying he is the best “by a country mile.”

Jos Buttler shines brightly once more with the bat for the Rajasthan Royals, his undefeated century against RCB advancing the squad to the IPL 2022 final.

The right-handed batter batted unbeaten for 106 runs to assist Rajasthan to hunt down 158 with seven wickets in hand and 11 balls to spare. Rajasthan has qualified for the IPL 2022 final, in which they will face Gujarat Titans on Sunday at the same venue.

Buttler has four centuries in the current edition, making him only the second batter after Virat Kohli to score four hundred in a single tournament.

He crushed an unbeaten 106 off 60 deliveries to help the Royals easily chase down 158 in IPL 2022 Qualifier 2 on Friday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Former England skipper Michael Vaughan applauded Jos Buttler as the best limited-overs player in the world after he hit a record-equaling fourth century in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 against Royal Challengers Bangalore to strengthen Rajasthan Royals into their first final since 2008.

Buttler’s masterclass, which contributed to the Royals reaching the final, included 10 boundaries and six sixes.

Buttler’s century equaled Virat Kohli’s IPL record of four centuries in a single season. He now has 824 runs this season, making him only the third player in history to surpass the 800-run mark.

Only Virat Kohli (973) and David Warner (848) have scored more than 800 runs in a season, with both reaching their milestones during the 2016 season when Kohli also hit four centuries.
